ABOUT NORTHEAST FILTERIndustrial Filtration Solutions
Northeast Filter is a family-owned company with more than 40 years of experience helping companies find reliable industrial filtration and separation solutions for their specific needs. By working with industry-leading companies, NFC has a full complement of filtration products available to solve your filtration needs.
WHY NORTHEAST FILTER
We are a full service distributor of air, gas & liquid filtration, and separation products.
Since our start in 1982, Northeast Filter (NFC) has always been much more than just a filtration supplier. With a customer-centric approach, we create tailored solutions for each customer. We don’t just sell our customers a filter; we sell them the right filter that will meet or exceed their expectations.
Through our Value Added Services (VAS) and partnerships with major suppliers, we are able to take a “Deep Dive” into each customer’s process with our field testing and lab analyzing services to determine the optimum filtration solution. We strive to optimize filtration performance, minimize operational costs, and mitigate our customers’ environmental impact. This approach not only sets us apart from other filtration distributors but has built our reputation as a leader in the industrial filtration market. Let NFC be “Your Partner in Process” for your plant filtration needs.
Founded over 40 years ago by Cal and Jean Coates, Northeast Filter was the dream from Cal’s early years in the filtration industry. Today, Northeast Filter is still a family-owned company with a 10,000ft² warehouse in Chardon, Ohio. Our sales force has over 100 years of combined sales experience dedicated exclusively to solving filtration issues.
FOUNDED IN 1982
Northeast Filter opened its doors on April Fool’s Day 1982 in a small office and warehouse space in Willoughby, Ohio.
MOVED TO CHARDON, OHIO IN 1988
Within six years, Northeast Filter outgrew their space and moved to their own warehouse and office building in Chardon, Ohio.
EXPANDING INTO NEW INDUSTRIES
By maintaining a customer-centric approach and building strong relationships with key suppliers who were leaders in their respective industries, Northeast Filter was able to move into various markets in their early years that would become the core industries for the company’s success: Military, Oil & Gas, Chemical Process, Shipping, OEM, Food & Beverage, Aluminum & Steel, and Power Generation.
GROWTH BY ACQUISITION
In the early 1990s, Northeast Filter bought the filtration division of Telco Corporation, a long-standing distributor of Filtration & Pump products in the Midwest, and acquired RT Whitson, another filtration distributor.
BECOMING AN INDUSTRY LEADER
Fast forward to today, Northeast Filter is still a Coates family-owned business focused on the core values and principles that the company was founded on. We have grown into a widely recognized and respected leader for superior products, service, and customer support through these values.
